I can sort of play 4ish instruments, the recorder, because of Year Two Recorder, where everyone in the whole of year 2 played the recorder for a semester. The trombone because of Year Five Band, I deeply disliked the trombone, and was happy to but it away halfway through year 7. I can play the piano a tiny bit, with one hand, because I put stickers on the G, D, A, E notes as they are the strings for violin. Finally, the violin, I have been playing since Year 2, and I love it.
For the first few years I had a joint lesson with Aaron, with Zsuzsa. I have learnt the violin from Zsuzsa every year except one, when she was on maternity leave. There is a Year Three Strings program at the Junior School, which Aaron and I didn't have to participate in because we had already been learning for a year. Instead, we got to be part of Year 4 Strings, for two years. Then Junior School Strings and then we left the Junior School, and Aaron stopped playing. This was a good thing for me, as Aaron had always been better than me, and now I was the best violinist in my year, which doesn't mean much because I'm not that good. Now I'm in the top strings group at the school, which only has about 5 players currently, Senior School Strings.
